Kasane: 3-Year Photo Diary
One photo a day, stacked with last year. Temp included.
A private 3-year photo diary for iPhone. Add one photo a day; the day's high temperature and weather are attached automatically. See today stacked with the same date last year and the year before, and search your past by temperature when you can't decide what to wear. Import your camera roll once and last year fills in within minutes. Photos stay on your phone. No account. Free for 2 years of history; Pro is a one-time purchase.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Nobuhiko, a solo developer in Japan.
Kasane started from a small question at home: "What did the kids wear around this time last year?" Phone cameras know the date, but not how warm it was. So Kasane attaches the day's high temperature and weather to each photo, and stacks today with the same date in past years.
How it works:
- Import your camera roll once (one photo per day) and last year fills in within minutes
- Search past days by temperature when you can't decide what to wear
- Flip through a month with past years stacked, or turn it into a short video for family
- Photos never leave your phone. No account.
Free for 2 years of history. Pro (one-time purchase) unlocks 5, 10 or 20 years.
Android: it exists, but it's still in closed testing on Google Play. If you'd like to try it (and help it reach production), here's how to join: https://nobuhiko.github.io/kasan...
I'd love to hear:
1. Where did you get stuck in the first few minutes?
2. Did "the same date last year" show up for you, and was it worth a look?
3. What would you use the temperature search for?
I'm in Japan, so replies may come in your night. I'll answer everything.
