After a few months of validating my beta product, I’m happy to finally share my journey with you and hear your valuable feedback!
🗂️ What is Kanban Tasks?
Kanban Tasks is a shareable Kanban board that lives right inside your Google Workspace. It is built as a plug-n-play Chrome extension. It offers a native Kanban board interface within Google Workspace for seamless task management and team collaboration. It syncs with your Google tasks and it conveniently integrates with your gmail right in the environment which you know and love.
❤️ Why did I build Kanban Tasks?
I noticed that many businesses struggle with scattered tools and disjointed workflows. Teams end up juggling multiple tools, which leads to inefficiencies and loss of productivity. Even though Google Workspace is widely used, it’s missing some key features like Kanban boards and task dependencies. Google Tasks is handy but often needs extra tools for managing complex projects.
So, I created Kanban Tasks—a Kanban board that integrates right into Google Workspace. It keeps everything in one place, so you don’t have to switch between tools.
✨ What unique features are there in Kanban Tasks? 💡
It’s loaded with features that elevate task management—think multiple boards for different projects, customizable checklists, Markdown for detailed descriptions, and a standout “Get Work Done” board to spotlight your weekly priorities. Next to that it offers Tags, Attachments, Comments and loads more!
📌 A central task hub named “Get Work Done”. Visible immediately upon opening the extension, it shows tasks from other boards based on their due dates, organized into ‘To-Do Today’ and ‘To-Do This Week.’ This board helps you stay focused on upcoming deadlines and can’t be deleted or renamed.

🗒️ Tasklists, Tasks and Subtasks - You can create Tasklists on all boards with highly customizable functionalities. Tasks can be added with subtasks to break down projects into manageable steps.
🎯 Drag and drop - Effortlessly move tasks along and between boards for easy prioritization and status updates.
✅ Mark as Completed - Simply check the check box to mark tasks as complete. Completed tasks will appear with a strikethrough in their respective lists.
🔄 Sync with Google Tasks - Seamlessly sync all your existing Google Tasks into Kanban Tasks.
📧 Add from Gmail - Add tasks directly from emails in Gmail with just one click or a simple drag-and-drop.
📝 Add Markdown Descriptions and Checklists - Add detailed planning to tasks with Markdown descriptions and checklists.
