We built Increased.com because we kept seeing funded startups fall into the same trap. They'd raise a round sometimes $1M, sometimes $5M and then keep running their finances the way they did pre-funding. Spreadsheets, manual reconciliations, a bookkeeper who sends reports two weeks after month-end. No real cash flow visibility. No forecasting infrastructure. Investor updates assembled by hand. The fractional CFO market exists to solve this, but most founders either hire too early for work that's largely operational, or too late when the damage is already done. And pure software tools don't come with the implementation support or bookkeeping layer that early-stage companies actually need. So we built the combination: Kairos as the FP&A platform, AI finance agents to automate the recurring work, and a 100+ person team handling bookkeeping and implementation. One partner, from seed through Series B. What evolved most: we realised the founders who got the most value weren't using us as a vendor they were treating us as their finance function.
