Jupiter Optimus
A task manager that closes your GitHub issues for you
Point it at a repo and your GitHub or GitLab issues arrive as tasks. Complete the task and the issue closes itself. Native SwiftUI on iPhone, iPad and Mac, no account and no server, and an AI assistant that runs on your own API key. $9.99/year, 7-day trial.
Hi Product Hunt 👋
I build software, and for years I lost the same twenty minutes a day: reading a
GitHub issue, retyping it into a todo app, doing the work, then going back to
close the issue by hand. Every task manager I tried treated my issue tracker as
a different universe.
So Jupiter Optimus starts there. Point it at a repo and the issues arrive as
tasks, routed into whichever project you choose. Complete the task and the issue
closes itself on GitHub or GitLab. Open pull requests show their CI state and
review decision, and tell you when a check fails or a PR merges. Write-back is
off by default — writing to your repo should be a choice, not a surprise.
Two other decisions worth explaining:
🔑 The AI assistant runs on YOUR API key — Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a model
server you run yourself. Requests go from your device straight to the provider.
No proxy of mine in the middle, no markup, no second subscription. I did not
want to sell you AI; I wanted to get out of the way of the AI you already pay for.
🔒 There is no account, because there is no server. Your tasks live on your
device and in your own private iCloud database. No analytics, no ads, no
third-party SDKs. The App Store privacy label says "Data Not Collected", and it
is accurate rather than aspirational.
Also in there: GTD start dates and Someday, a kanban board and calendar, a
Pomodoro timer with time tracking, Live Activities and widgets, and importers
for Todoist, TickTick, Apple Reminders and pasted text.
Built solo in SwiftUI and SwiftData for iPhone, iPad and Mac. One subscription
covers all three through Universal Purchase. $9.99 a year with a 7-day trial —
one price, no free tier with the good parts removed, no upsells.
Honest limitations: it is Apple-only, it is English-only for now, and
self-hosted GitLab is not supported yet (gitlab.com only).
I will be here all day. Ask me anything — especially about the SwiftData and
CloudKit parts, which were by far the hardest.

Who hunted Jupiter Optimus?
Jupiter Optimus was hunted by Vlado Ivanković. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
