I built Junior because I kept watching coding agents do the same thing: race to a green checkmark, guess a file path, declare victory on a passing build, and quietly take an action I couldn't undo — because the prompt implied it was fine.
Junior is an AGENTS.md starter pack + 17 Claude Code skills that make the agent slow down where it counts: reproduce the bug before fixing it, sketch the boundary before writing code, and stop and ask before anything hard to reverse (migrations, deletes, pushes).
It's not free — junior costs more time and tokens per task than a bare agent (measured, not claimed: +43% time, +78% output tokens, same 8/8 success rate on the two bugs I tested). That's the trade-off up front: depth costs speed. Worth it when you're the one merging to main.
MIT licensed, works with Claude Code natively and Codex/Cursor via AGENTS.md. Would love feedback, especially from anyone who's been burned by an agent "helpfully" doing something it shouldn't have.
