Hey Product Hunt!
I built JobFoundry out of raw necessity during an exhausting, brutal tech job search. Every commercial tool out there wanted $30/month subscriptions, tried locking my data into their cloud, burned expensive tokens reading public web pages, and frequently hallucinated fake metrics, false skills, and invented employers on my resume.
I couldn't afford the fees, and I refused to send recruiters lies.
JobFoundry does things fundamentally differently:
1. Zero Server Scraping: Datacenter scrapers constantly die against Cloudflare and CAPTCHAs. With JobFoundry, capture happens directly inside your authentic browser session across 87 ATS platforms and boards (Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever, Workday, LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.). Reading public postings uses zero LLM tokens.
2. 64-bit SimHash Deduplication: Cross-posted duplicates across multiple aggregators collapse into one canonical application record automatically.
3. Local LLM Fit Scoring: Runs 0–100 candidate fit evaluations with detailed gap analyses using local models via Ollama/vLLM (or your own OpenAI/Anthropic keys).
4. Truthful ATS Resume Tailoring: Powered by a schema-constrained pipeline and Puppeteer + jsonresume-theme-folio, it intelligently re-ranks and highlights your authentic achievements without ever hallucinating fictional experience.
5. 100% Local & Private: Runs via Docker, Podman, or standalone desktop builds (AppImage/MSIX/Homebrew) backed by local SQLite. Zero telemetry, zero analytics, zero external lock-in.
