Hey PH! I'm Isaiah, the maker of JobFiltr.
So this started when a few friends were venting to me about their job searches. Same story every time. They'd apply to 50+ jobs, hear nothing back, then find out half those listings had been up for months or were never real to begin with. Ghost jobs, recruiter spam, the
same role reposted by 12 different staffing agencies.
Turns out it's not just them. It's a widespread problem. The job platforms that should help are stripping away features, selling your data, and putting job seekers dead last. So I built something that actually puts them first for a change.
JobFiltr is a Chrome extension that sits right on LinkedIn and Indeed. It analyzes listings in real-time, detecting ghost jobs (we check 50+ signals), flagging suspicious posts, auto-hiding staffing agencies, showing how old each listing actually is. There's also community-reported warnings so job seekers can look out for each other.
The part I'm proudest of: we don't track you. At all. No data collection, no selling your info. We analyze the job postings, not the people using our tool.
