Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built Jikoku because I kept running into the same problem. I wanted one place for my tasks, calendar, notes, meetings, and AI context. But most all-in-one productivity apps want you to move everything into their cloud. The private, local alternatives usually solve one thing at a time — one app for transcription, another for notes, another for tasks. I wanted both: one workspace, without creating another cloud copy of my life. I already had my tasks in Apple Reminders, events in Calendar, and people in Contacts. So Jikoku works with those directly instead of replacing them. A reminder in Jikoku is still an Apple Reminder. Calendar events stay in Apple Calendar. Contacts stay in Contacts. Jikoku Notes are stored locally, and transcription, summaries, and AI run directly on your Mac. But the part I care about most is context. A task shouldn’t just be a line in a to-do list. In Jikoku, a reminder can become the center of the work around it. Drag a note, meeting, or related item onto a task and they stay connected. Click the task later and Jikoku can highlight the related events in your calendar and bring that context back into view. So instead of a task living in one app, the meeting in another, and your notes somewhere else, you have one piece of work with its context attached. That’s really the idea behind Jikoku: Don’t make people rebuild their productivity system. Make the one they already have more useful. Jikoku is still in beta, and this is the first time I’m putting it in front of a larger group of people.
