Hi, I'm Celil. I make jekcms from Ankara, Türkiye. For years I ran content sites on WordPress, and every one of them grew the same plugin pile: something for SEO, something for images, something for cache, something for redirects. All updating on their own schedule, and every so often one of them broke the site. jekcms is what I built to stop doing that. The SEO bits (schema, canonical, sitemaps, hreflang) are there from the first page you publish. Uploads get converted to AVIF and WebP. Updates come through one signed channel, and if a release makes the site throw 500s, it rolls itself back. A few choices people usually ask about: It's plain PHP and MySQL. Same cheap hosting WordPress runs on, nothing to build. It isn't open source. The free edition runs one site for as long as you want. Paid licences are yearly, but they don't auto-renew, and if one lapses the site just drops to the free edition. I didn't want anyone afraid to stop paying.
