Hey Product Hunt! I’m Tyler, the creator of JCompete.
I’m a huge Jeopardy! fan, and I built JCompete because I wanted a better way to play along at home. Previously I either needed to keep track on a pad of paper, a spreadsheet, or on an older app where I had to log my own categories and results.
I made an easier way to track my Coryat score, and then realized I could also get a solid breakdown of what categories and topics I was good at, and which ones I really needed to improve.
So now you can play along with an episode, track your performance automatically, see your strengths and weaknesses by Topic, practice Daily Double and Final Jeopardy wagering, and then study the areas you need to improve with a growing flashcard library.
As it gets more users, I'm hoping to really help the community out by benchmarking against other players, outlining different wagering styles, and discussing results online (Reddit, etc.)
This is the first end-to-end tool I've built, and it has evolved through a lot of experimentation and feedback from people using it.
The core play-along experience is free, and will continue to be, as it's all from the show itself. I've recently added Premium for people who want more advanced study and training tools.
