Jarly
Envelope budgeting without the cash binder
Jarly is free envelope ("cash stuffing") budgeting for Android. Split each paycheck into jars, spend from the jars — when a jar is empty, that's your answer. Unlimited jars, no account needed, never asks for your bank login. Payday-aligned cycles (start on any day 1–28), roll-over jars, bills with one-tap "Paid", a pace marker so overspending shows early. Local-first; Google backup is optional. No ads, no subscription.

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm the solo developer behind Jarly. Why I built it: envelope budgeting works — the cash-stuffing videos have billions of views — but I wasn't going to carry a binder of cash, and the apps kept getting in the way. Free tiers capped at 10 envelopes, $100+/year subscriptions, and almost all of them wanted my bank login. So Jarly does a few things differently: • Unlimited jars, free. No premium tier, no paywalled reports. • Your budget starts on payday. Paid on the 15th? Set 15 and every figure lines up with your bank balance. • It never connects to a bank. Every spend is one you typed — slower, but nothing gets miscategorised and no data broker gets your history. • Local-first: everything works with no account. Google sign-in only adds an optional private backup. Also: roll-over jars (leftovers carry forward, overspends carry as debt), bills with one-tap "Paid", and a keypad built for money so there's never a half-typed decimal. I'd love blunt feedback — especially on the assign screen. I'll be here all day.
