I'm the solo developer behind Isochron.
The idea came from my own experience during my Ph.D. I spent hours coordinating proposal meetings, qualifying exams, thesis defenses, lab meetings, and project discussions. Finding a time that worked for everyone often meant long email threads, especially when people were from different universities, institutions, countries, and time zones.
I tried many existing scheduling tools, but I always felt there was room for improvement. Some had too many ads, some locked useful features behind a paywall, and some didn't quite fit the way I wanted to organize meetings. So I decided to build my own in my spare time.
One feature I'm especially proud of is the scheduling mode where organizers can see everyone's responses while participants cannot see each other's responses. It's particularly useful for interview coordination and other situations where responses should remain private.
Isochron is completely free to use and currently supports 8 languages.
