IsItDisposable

Stop throwaway emails before they hit your database

IsItDisposable detects disposable and throwaway emails at signup. Stop trial abusers cycling burner emails through your free tier, and keep throwaways from wrecking your list quality. A live dataset of 211,812 domains, MX-validated and refreshed daily, with about 320 new ones appearing every day. One API call or a drop-in script tag, and it fails open: if we are ever down, signups keep working. Relays like Apple Hide My Email are flagged, not blocked. Free plan plus a 14-day trial, no card.

Hey Product Hunt! Rich here, the maker. I have worked in email deliverability since 2009, and for fifteen years, I watched the same movie: a client's list fills up with throwaway addresses, their bounces spike, their ESP flags the account, and then someone gets paid to clean up a mess that one API call at signup would have prevented. Then I started building SaaS myself and met the other version of the problem: the same person cycling burner emails through your free trial forever. Every disposable signup is a free tier you paid for, a growth number that is fiction, and sometimes an abuser you already banned walking back in the front door. IsItDisposable is the API call that stops both. A live dataset of 211,812 disposable domains, MX validated and refreshed daily, because static lists go stale in weeks. One REST call or a drop-in script tag. Three design choices I want your honest opinion on: 1. It fails open. If we are ever down, your signups keep working. A validation service that can break your signup flow is worse than no validation at all. 2. Relay services like Apple Hide My Email are flagged, not blocked. Those are real users protecting their privacy, and blocking them costs you customers. Most tools conflate the two. 3. We publish the data. This week, we released the State of Disposable Email report: a live DNS sweep of all 211,812 domains found only 34.5 percent can still receive mail, roughly 320 genuinely new disposable domains appear every day, and the most complete free blocklist on GitHub still misses 61 percent of what is live right now. One popular list caught 4 of the 10,864 new domains from the last month. Full report and methodology on the blog, every stat free to cite. This month we also shipped Python and TypeScript SDKs, and an MCP server so AI agents can validate emails mid signup flow. Our WordPress plugin is pending review. There is a free plan (250 checks a month) and a 14 day full access trial with no card, so you can run your own list through it today. We also built a calculator that shows what fake signups actually cost you: isitdisposable.com/roi-calculator I will be here all day. Tell me what is missing, what is confusing, and what you would need before you would trust this in production. Brutal honesty welcome, I have been on the receiving end of deliverability disasters long enough to take it.
