Hey everyone, I'm Jürgen. Background: licensed fitness trainer in Germany, also a music composer, also apparently an indie iOS developer now. Iron Progress is the result of a year of nights and weekends because I couldn't find a strength-training app that actually worked for me. The angle that matters most: most apps log. Iron Progress tries to tell you what to do in the next session. The strength standards are adjusted for age and bodyweight (a 22yo and a 55yo benching 90kg aren't the same accomplishment). Volume tracking uses Israetel's discrete MEV/MAV/MRV scale per muscle group. There's a 5-factor recovery model behind the deload advisor. A detail I'm probably too proud of: rest-timer voice cues that work on a locked screen. The app speaks "Go, next set: 80 kilos, 8 reps, RIR 2" through your phone speaker so you don't have to look at it between sets. 100% on-device. No account, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. iCloud sync is optional and goes into your own iCloud database; I never see anything. Free version is the full logging engine. Pro (€3.99/mo or €29.99/yr after a 14-day trial) adds the deeper analytics and the sync. Feedback is what I'm here for, especially methodology questions. Happy to defend or fix anything. Ask me anything.
