Hey PH! I'm Ibrahim, maker of Iris Studio.
Honestly, I built this out of frustration. I was spending more time switching between tools than actually creating. Higgsfield for video generation, Figma for moodboards, CapCut for editing — and somehow trying to keep it all together. Multiple subscriptions, multiple logins, nothing talks to each other.
And don't get me started on the file management. Generate something cool? Great — now download it, figure out where to put it, rename it so you can find it later, drag it into the next app. Repeat 50 times a day. I just wanted my stuff on my machine, organized, without thinking about it.
So I started building what I wished existed. One app where I can generate with the latest AI models, throw things on a moodboard to explore ideas, jump into a timeline to edit, and have all my assets right there — auto-saved locally, no manual downloads.
What I realized is that the creative process is super messy. You generate, rearrange, edit, realize you need a new shot, go back and generate again. Jumping between apps kills that flow completely.
I made it a desktop app on purpose (Mac + Windows). I wanted it to feel snappy and work with local files — not upload everything to someone else's cloud. And this is what gets me excited about what's next: local AI models. Imagine generating directly on your machine. No API calls, no usage fees, your work stays yours.
It's still early and there's a ton more I want to build, but I'd love for you to try it and tell me what you think!

Who hunted Iris Studio?
Iris Studio was hunted by Ibrahim Yaacob. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
