iphone-use

Let AI agents drive a real iPhone, even apps with no API

iphone-use gives an AI agent a real iPhone: the screen as text, tap, type and scroll over WebDriverAgent, with an honest answer for every action (applied, not sent, or unknown). Payment apps that block screenshots come back as a wireframe. A task done once becomes a flow that replays with no model. HTTP API, a 21-tool MCP server for Claude Code, and remote control from a browser or iOS app. Open source, MIT.

Plenty of apps I use every day have no API: banking, payment, health, chat. I wanted my coding agent to be able to operate them on a real phone, the same way it operates a browser. iphone-use started as a remote-control panel and turned into an agent tool once it became clear what an agent needs that a person doesn't: an answer it can branch on (applied, not sent, unknown, retry-safe), refusals instead of taps that silently land elsewhere, and a way to replay a chore without spending tokens. Every request is timed, which is how tap-and-settle went from 8.5 s to 4.2 s. It needs a Mac with Xcode and the phone on USB. Feedback very welcome.
