Hey Product Hunt! I'm Abdul, founder of InvoiceTools.
I'll keep it short.
My cousin is an electrician. Last month he lost a $2,400 job because his quote took three days to send. Every tool he tried wanted an account, business details and payment info before it would let him put a price on paper.
That didn't make sense to me, so I built InvoiceTools.
It's a quote and invoice generator that runs in your browser. No signup, and your document never leaves the page you're on. Close the tab and there's nothing left behind.
A few things I focused on:
For trades, not just freelancers. 46 presets, and each one quotes the way that trade actually charges. Roofers per square, painters per square foot or per room, electricians per point plus a call-out, caterers per guest. Pick your trade and the line items are already there, with real starting rates you can edit.
Built to avoid arguments. There's a clear "What's Not Included" section, plus validity dates and deposit terms. My cousin told me that's where most jobs go wrong.
200 templates you edit on the page itself. No form on the left and a preview on the right. You click the invoice and type on it. 200 designs each for invoices, quotes, estimates, receipts and work orders, and you export to PDF, PNG, CSV or JSON, or send a link.
AI draft if you want it. Take a photo of a handwritten parts list, or leave a voice note about the job, and it drafts the line items for you. This is the one part that talks to a server, since the drafting happens there. Three free runs without an account, 25 a day with one.
15 calculators for the pricing that comes before the quote. Markup, margin, break-even, service price, freelance rate, salary, sales tax, VAT, discount, tip, loan, percentage, and three for the job itself: paint, concrete and a full cost estimator.
It's free, and the core tools always will be. You only need an account if you want your documents saved, link tracking, and more AI runs.
