I’m the maker of this little tool, and here’s the story behind it.
Not long ago I couldn’t solve a 3x3 cube at all. Video tutorials didn’t really help: I kept getting lost, because my cube never looked like the one on the screen. So I built something that works with YOUR cube instead.
You enter the colors of your scrambled cube, and the app guides you move by move. An animated 3D cube shows how to hold it, which face to turn and in which direction. For every situation, you see the formula, a before/after picture, and a short explanation of why this step comes now.
What’s inside:
Layer by Layer: classic, or retro (the old textbook way, with very few formulas)
CFOP 2-look and 1-look, for when you want to go faster
Fast mode: about 20 moves, when you just want your cube back
