💡 The Problem
Suppose you want to write a technical presentation comparing the performance of different LLM architectures. Or build a research-backed report on enrollment trends in US higher education. Conducting the research typically involves scrolling through lists of somewhat-relevant links in Google or similar search tool and trying to guess which ones will be worth the time to read. After finally identifying some useful sources, you need to synthesize the right bits of information from each into a document. Building the document then involves constant switching between your word processor, sources scattered across your browser tabs, and perhaps an AI model like ChatGPT thrown in for writing help. It's a clunky, time-consuming process with no guarantee that at the end of the day you've even captured the best information out there.
