Hi Product Hunt! I'm Franco, and I built Inkspell because of one moment every reader of long series knows: a name comes back two hundred pages later and you can't place it. The fan wiki knows who they are, but it also tells you how the story ends.
Inkspell works on the EPUB books you already own. Upload one and it builds the cast and world of that book: characters, places, factions, a relationship map, a family tree and a story-so-far recap. Everything is locked to the chapter you're on, so it never shows you something you haven't read yet. As you read on, more appears. Series link together, so book four still remembers book one.
A few honest notes:
- It's EPUB only, on Android, in English and Spanish.
- There's no bookstore; it never provides books, only works with the files you bring.
- Entries are generated from the book's own text, nothing is written by hand, so one can be wrong. You can report anything that looks off right from the app.
- A membership is required, with a 7-day free trial.
