Who hunted Injourn?
Injourn was hunted by Pratham Pande. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hi Product Hunt! 👋
I'm Pratham, the solo designer and developer behind Injourn.
Over the past 8 months, I noticed two big problems with modern journaling apps:
1. They either feel like sterile, corporate spreadsheets (Notion, Day One) or gamified cartoon habit trackers (Finch).
2. Almost all of them force your most intimate thoughts onto private company servers with recurring cloud lock-in.
I built Injourn to bring romance, tactile stationery craftsmanship, and uncompromising privacy back to daily reflection:
✨ Living Visual Worlds: 18+ ambient themes (Cozy Cat, Midnight Tokyo, Emerald Forest) drawn natively in Flutter that shift dynamically with your real-world solar cycle from dawn to midnight.
🛡️ Zero-Knowledge Privacy: 100% offline-first. Your entries are encrypted on-device (AES-256 GCM) with private, encrypted backups syncing directly to your personal Google Drive app folder. No servers between you and your words.
📖 The Monthly Storyteller: At the end of each month, Injourn analyzes your writing rhythm and synthesizes your month back into a cohesive, beautifully bound narrative.
🖋️ Tactile Stationery: Sub-pixel notebook rulings, felt emotion chips, and collectible paper editions (Gold Disc, Cloud Nine).
