Incident Record is a free, local-first web workbook for an individual or family helper organizing facts after a scam. It guides users through a timeline, losses, contacts, reports, disputes, and references to original evidence files, then produces a printable record or PDF. No account is required, and workbook entries are not uploaded by Incident Record. It does not recover money, detect scams, contact organizations, or submit reports.
I built Incident Record after I was scammed and saw how difficult it was to organize messages, payment records, names, dates, provider contacts, report numbers, and evidence-file locations while under pressure.
The product is deliberately narrow. It does not detect scams, investigate anyone, contact organizations, submit reports, or promise recovery. Urgent contact with a bank or payment provider comes first.
The complete web workbook is free and works without an account. Entries remain in the user's browser unless the user exports and shares them. A separate pay-what-you-can download supports maintenance, but every amount receives the same package and payment does not buy recovery help or priority handling.
I would value candid feedback on three questions:
1. Is the first-use sequence calm and understandable?
2. Is the local-first explanation credible and clear?
3. What would stop you from recommending the free workbook to a family member?
