Imify
The powerful image toolkit for designers
Imify is a 100% client-side, privacy-first image toolkit. No servers, no uploads—your images never leave your browser. Powered by WASM, it handles heavy-duty tasks like JXL and AVIF encoding with near-native performance. Highlights: 🚀 Batch process thousands of images in parallel. 🍱 Splicing, Splitting, and Smart Filling. 🕵️ Deep Metadata Inspection. 🎨 Fully customizable, color-coded workspace. Perfect for pros who value privacy and a seamless, high-performance workflow.
I’ve always been a bit paranoid about privacy. Every time I needed to convert an image to WebP or resize a few photos, I found myself using online tools that required me to upload my files to their servers. Not only was it slow, but I also had no idea if my images were being used behind the scenes. That frustration was the spark for Imify.
What started as a simple hobby project quickly evolved into a full-fledged toolkit. I realized that a truly privacy-first tool needed to be powerful, accessible, and completely offline.
So, I rebuilt everything from the ground up. By leveraging WebAssembly (WASM), Imify brings native-app performance directly into your browser. Whether you need to batch process hundreds of images, convert heavy formats like AVIF and JXL, or use advanced tools like Image Splitting - it all happens locally on your device. Zero servers, zero uploads, zero waiting time.
I’m offering this as a 100% free, open-source tool across both a Web App and a Browser Extension. It took a lot of late-night coding to make it seamless, but seeing it finally launch makes every bug worth it. I'd love to hear your feedback, especially on the UI and the new features!
