ilse

Point at your app and your AI agent changes the code

Ilse puts a toolbar on top of the React app you already have running. Click an element and say what should change, drag to reorder, resize, or tweak spacing and colors with your project's own tokens. Simple tweaks land instantly, with no AI. The rest goes to the agent you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini), pointing at the right spot in the code. Pro adds test mode: Ilse walks real user journeys on her own and reports what breaks.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm Iverson, a designer for 9+ years who now spends more time in code than in Figma.

I kept asking Claude Code to fix a button and describing in words what I saw on screen. The agent writes well, but it doesn't see what I see, so it kept editing the wrong file, even with a design doc and a "connected" design system.

So I built Ilse. You open your app the way you always do, and a toolbar sits on top:

  • Point and say: click an element, write what should change. The note reaches your agent already pointing at the right file and line.

  • Panel: spacing, size, type and color with your project's own scale and tokens. These land instantly and spend few or zero tokens.

  • Move, resize, edit text, draw: the page reacts live, and the agent makes it real in the code.

  • Component library: Ilse reads your components and writes your design system to a markdown file, so your agent stops inventing new buttons.

Ilse never touches an API key. Your own agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini) does the coding, on your machine.

Pro is test mode: tell Ilse what a person does, like "buy the paper lamp", and she walks the real app on her own, then reports accessibility, errors and layout issues and remembers what you fixed. It's in founder pre-sale today.

It works with React apps (Next.js, Vite, Remix, Astro, CRA). One command: npx ilse-design@latest

I'd love your feedback on two things:

  1. Where did Ilse get your intent wrong?

  2. What would you want her to test for you?

I'll be here all day answering. Thanks for checking it out 🧡

Who hunted ilse?

ilse was hunted by Iverson Dantas. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
