I built iFind because I kept running into a very ordinary but annoying problem: I knew I owned something, but I could not remember where I put it.

iFind is a simple, privacy-focused app for recording where your things are stored. You can save items with locations, categories, tags, photos, notes, lending status, reminders, recycle bin recovery, local backup, and optional cloud sync across devices.

The goal is not to build a complicated inventory system. I wanted something calm and practical for everyday life: finding documents, tools, keys, medicine, collectibles, household items, and anything you might otherwise forget.

A big part of the design is “local first.” You can use the app without an account, and your data stays on your device by default. Cloud sync is optional for people who want multi-device use or easier recovery.

🎁 To celebrate the Product Hunt launch, I'm giving away 5 Google Play promo codes for one month of iFind Cloud Sync for free.

Each code can only be redeemed once, so they are first come, first served:

If one has already been redeemed, please try the next one.

I would love to hear how you organize and find your personal belongings, and what features would make iFind more useful for you.

Who hunted iFind?

iFind was hunted by Nicky King. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
