We felt there was nowhere that quite met our needs for a platform that could both provide the depth to get into the weeds of the theory needed for machine learning models and somewhere to practice writing all the components. This was true if you were prepping for technical rounds at top labs, or just trying to learn how new concepts were changing the field.
We wanted somewhere to read about deep technical concepts, understand why new methods were cool, and practice and practice and practice.
Needing to understand how the layers and components should work from first principle is even more important now than ever with how much code is offloaded to AI agents, if you don't know what the layer is supposed to look like how are you going to debug it effectively?
