Hi Product Hunt,
I built Ice Block for the moment when you sit down to study, promise yourself you will not check your phone, and then somehow lose the first 20 minutes anyway.
Ice Block is an iPhone focus app for students. You choose the distracting apps, start a study session, and Ice Block freezes those apps until the session ends. While you stay on task, the ice melts, so progress feels visible instead of abstract.
The first version includes:
- App and website selection for focus protection
- Visual focus sessions with an ice-melting progress loop
- Session history, streaks, and weekly momentum
- Reflection prompts after sessions
- A 7-day free trial for Ice Block Plus
The goal is not another complicated productivity dashboard. It is a small ritual: choose what gets frozen, start the timer, and make one focused block easier to finish.
I would love feedback from students, parents, tutors, and anyone who has tried using Screen Time or Focus modes but wanted something more session-based.
