HyperChrono
Create Free Timelapse Videos with a Built-in Stopwatch
Create time-lapse videos that show exactly how long something took, with a real stopwatch built into every frame. Videos save straight to your camera roll. You choose how long the timelapse will be, so it's perfect for sharing on social medial. Free, no ads. Available in the Apple App Store.
At the end of every one of my workouts, I like to hold a plank for as long as I can (typically for me that's three to four minutes). Most times I will record the video and speed that up as a time-lapse that I can share on social media.
The problem: the second you speed up a video, the real time disappears. Even if I added text on top of the video, no one really knew how long that I held it for. I wanted that social proof.
So I built HyperChrono. It records with a live stopwatch that you can drag and resize, then exports a sped up time-lapse (5–60s) with the stopwatch burned into every frame. The timer speeds up in sync with the footage, so anyone watching sees exactly how long it actually took. No editing, no separate overlay — and because it's baked in, it doubles as a watermark wherever you post it.
There's even an adjustable countdown timer, and my favorite part is that I can continue listening to music or podcasts while I am recording. That really makes the time go by faster!
It's free, iPhone-only for now (Android's in the works), no account, and your videos save straight to your camera roll.
It started as a fitness thing, I'd use it for planks, hanging from a pull-up bar, and cold plunges. But people are using it for cooking, art, room makeovers, sunsets — anything where you might want a time lapse.
Curious what you'd record first: plank, pour-over, or something I haven't thought of? Happy to answer anything here today.

Who hunted HyperChrono?
HyperChrono was hunted by Nick Murto. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
