Hey Product Hunt! 👋
Kathir and I built HuntYourTribe, a job search engine for startups and SMBs hiring in India.
Honestly, it started by accident.
A few months ago, during the layoffs across Chennai, several ex-colleagues asked us if we knew of any openings. Our first answer was the obvious one: check LinkedIn and Indeed.
But we kept hearing the same thing back: "There are so many jobs, but it's hard to find the right ones." MNC-heavy listings, duplicate posts, roles that didn't feel relevant.
So we tried something small. We picked the top 20 startups in Chennai and wrote a quick script to index their career pages.
That's when we noticed something:
👉 A lot of real openings never made it to LinkedIn or Indeed. They were sitting quietly on company career pages.
That became our one-liner: Not every job is posted on LinkedIn or Indeed.
We built the first version over a weekend, shared it with friends and on Reddit, and were surprised by how many people found it useful. So we kept building.
Today HuntYourTribe indexes 20,000+ open roles from 1000+ startup and SMB career pages across India.
What you get:
🔍 All the filters you'd expect: role, location, experience and more
🔔 Email alerts + a watchlist for companies you care about
🤖 MCP support: ask Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor things like "find backend roles at Chennai startups" and save jobs without leaving the chat
⏱️ New jobs every 4 hours
🧑🎨 A free portfolio page, because a lot of startups care more about what you've built than your résumé
Two asks for today:
1. Try it and tell us what's missing. We read every comment.
2. Know a startup whose careers page we don't cover yet? Drop the link below and we'll add it to the index.
Thanks for checking us out! 🚀

Who hunted HuntYourTribe?
HuntYourTribe was hunted by Ramit Koul. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
