HTML to App
Turn local HTML projects into apps for your own Mac
Turn local HTML, CSS, and JavaScript projects into standalone apps for your own Mac. Edit files, preview changes, and export with a custom icon. Add native notifications, Finder file handling, menu bar controls, and Dock animations. Embed your files or keep them linked to the original folder, with no local HTTP server.
Hi Product Hunt! I'm Ighor, the developer of HTML to App.
HTML to App gives local HTML, CSS, and JavaScript projects their own place on your Mac. Start with an existing folder or a built-in example, edit the source, preview it, and export an app with its own icon.
Build small text editors, audio and video players, camera tools, dashboards, and other personal utilities. The native bridge adds Finder file handling, notifications, Dock badges, and menu bar controls. You can also customize Dock animations.
Embed the project in the app, or keep it linked to the original folder so it uses your updated files. No local HTTP server is needed.
Exports are for personal use and local testing. They configure the bundled launcher rather than compiling new native code.
I'd love to hear what local tool you would build first and which native integration would make it more useful.
