I was searching for a good study timer with ambient videos, Spotify, and nice themes. Everything online was either trash or behind a paywall. So I built Hourglass — completely free. Features: ✦ Ambient video backgrounds (café, rain, forest, Tokyo, train, fireplace) ✦ Spotify playlists for each vibe ✦ Pomodoro, Deep Focus, 52/17, Ultradian, custom timers ✦ No login, no ads, no premium tier hourglass-study.vercel.app
I was searching for a good study timer with ambient videos, Spotify, and nice themes.
Everything I found was either stripped down or locked behind a paywall.
So I built Hourglass instead — completely free.
Started as a weekend project, but I got obsessed with making it perfect. 5 gradient themes, 7 video backgrounds (café, rain, forest, Tokyo, train, fireplace), Spotify playlists for each vibe, multiple timer techniques. Everything I wanted but couldn't find anywhere.
Using it right now to prep for GATE. No login, no ads, no premium tier waiting to surprise you.
