Hello Product Hunt! When I am about to revive my old project from the grave, I was not able to do so quickly because of a single file, my .env file. Where I put some of my sensitive keys and other configuration variables. I was able to revive it but it took me the whole day to fix all of my environment variables. Then, the idea of Hold My Env came to life. The name "Hold My Env" was derived from "Hold My Beer" humor where i find it catchy and easy to remember.
The idea is simple, paste the contents of your .env file and we handle the storage and encryption. Your encrypted data is stored on our database and will never be stored in plain text.
Organization of projects is also simple and easy. Each project contains multiple .env files for staging, for local and for production right? And it could be shared to your team for read-access only to prevent tampering and messing it up.
I am excited for this launch as this is my first product on this platform. I am open for any valuable insights and suggestions to keep improving this product.
