Hody is your go-to SMS assistant, revolutionizing the way you tackle procrastination. It’s like texting a friend who reminds you, breaks down tasks, and follows up with you. With Hody, managing tasks becomes effortless, transforming 'someday' into 'today.'
This is a lengthy comment but you made it this far, so I want to share our story for those interested:
In a world cluttered with complex productivity tools and digital assistants, Hody emerges not just as an innovation but as a response to my personal battle with procrastination, deeply intertwined with ADHD. The inception of Hody traces back to a pivotal moment in my life as a student in a library, where the contrast between my procrastination and a friend's diligence sparked a realization: the desire for success is universal, yet the path to it is often mired in delay and distraction.
Hody's development is a testament to my journey, shaped by a life where procrastination wasn't just a habit, but a familial trait. The foundation of Hody was laid in the shared experiences of my brother and I during our MBA, reminding each other of upcoming deadlines through texting, epitomizing the core functionality of Hody: reminders through text messages, an approach born from necessity, simplicity, and the real-world challenges of managing a demanding schedule.
What sets Hody apart is its simplicity. There are a million digital solutions fighting for attention through complexity, but Hody returns to basics, offering a service that operates via text messages, embodying the simplicity of texting a friend. This approach not only removes barriers to entry, such as app downloads or navigating websites but also positions Hody as an unobtrusive, supportive companion in my daily life.
Lastly I'll share a story of how I came up with the name Hody... As a procrastinator, I put things off till last minute because "I work so well under pressure." But that pressure has significant consequences, both for the quality of my work, and on my mental health. The word 'procrastination' stems from its latin roots, "pro-crastinus," meaning 'to carry out tomorrow. However, the message I want to get across to the world is if you take a small step in whatever you are putting of today, you can an make a quantum leap tomorrow. Hence, I am teaching myself to be all about TODAY, and Today in latin is "Hodie"
