I’m Maksim Karmatskikh, founder and the only human developer behind Hodman AI. My background is as a CTO, and Hodman grew out of conversations with non-programmer friends who kept running into the same problems.
Those who tried local-first AI coding tools could build impressive things, but then got stuck publishing them, setting up infrastructure and making the result usable with coworkers. SaaS builders offered an easier start, but the models could feel less capable than local agents, integrations meant stitching together several services, and the final cost became difficult to understand.
I wanted to combine the best parts of both approaches.
Hodman combines a personal autonomous agent that remembers what matters to you and can set up the project around you with the simplicity of a managed service for building web applications.
