Built HList because every AI-tools directory had the same three problems:
1. Affiliate-biased rankings (pay-to-play)
2. No data on whether tools actually work from mainland China (the question developers keep asking)
3. No machine-readable exit — agents can't query the directory
HList fixes all three:
- 386 tools, 4 languages (EN/中文/日本語/한국어), updated daily from GitHub Trending + HuggingFace + HN
- China-accessibility for every tool: ok / unstable / blocked / unknown — the field no other directory publishes
- AI-agent native: llms.txt, tools.json API, and a public MCP server your agent can call (search_ai_tools / get_tool / list_categories), no key required
- Honest, not affiliate: no sponsored slots, descriptions generated from the source's own metadata, pricing verified against official pages
