Hey Product Hunt! I built HitJam because I wanted a website where you just pick a sound, hit your keys and jam while working. No app to download, no account, no onboarding, no complicated DAW, no landing page in the way. You land on it and you're making sound in about a second. The idea is that your computer keyboard or plugged in MIDI keyboard becomes the instrument. What's in it right now: - A real recorded concert grand piano - A recorded rock drum kit, and an 808 pad sampler with sixteen real TR-808 sounds - Trumpet, trombone, tuba, a full string section, xylophone, marimba and glockenspiel, all real recordings - Synths with real knobs you can shape - Plug in any MIDI keyboard and it just works: velocity, sustain pedal, pitch bend - Hit Record and download what you played as a WAV It's all free, and what you play never leaves your computer.

Who hunted HitJam?

HitJam was hunted by David Choi. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it.
