HerculusEQ
Serial, TCP, UDP, MQTT, WebSockets—Now in One Unified App
HerculusEQ v1.0.20260616 — The all-in-one debugging terminal for developers and IoT engineers. Unify Serial, TCP, UDP, MQTT, and WebSocket testing in a single tabbed desktop app. No Python required—just download, double-click, and debug. Features persistent command history, big-payload editing, real-time logging, and cross-protocol support. Modernize your workflow. Stop jumping between tools. Start connecting everything.
I've been using the Hercules SETUP utility (https://www.hw-group.com/softwar...) for over a decade. It's a fantastic tool relied upon by most embedded developers—but it has a persistent issue: it hangs under high data rates. I always wanted to rewrite it to fix this, but never found the time.
Then AI changed everything. It made building a modern alternative surprisingly simple. I started developing HerculusEQ about a year ago using Claude and Gemini, and over time, I've incorporated almost every AI coding platform available. As new protocol needs emerged, I kept adding interfaces—Serial, TCP, UDP, MQTT, and WebSockets—until it became the comprehensive debugging tool I'd always wished for.
We believe this could be useful to other developers as well, which is why we're releasing it as open source.
This is the utility I needed. Now it's yours too. 🚀
