When I first opened Replit to build **Handshake**, I thought I was just building a simple "signature canvas" on a web page. But as I tested it with real users, my perspective shifted:
1. **Mobile-First Realization:** People don't make casual deals sitting at desktop computers; they do it on their phones. I realized Handshake *had* to feel like a native mobile app (PWA & Android APK), allowing both parties to review and co-sign in under 60 seconds on the spot.
2. **Frictionless Onboarding:** I initially over-engineered mandatory account setups. Users told me: *"Let us draft the agreement FIRST."* I stripped away the friction so anyone can outline terms immediately and send a confirmation link to Party B.
3. **The "Casual Legal" Balance:** I learned that people wanted clear boundaries without legal intimidation. So I shifted the focus from scary legal jargon to transparent, mutual digital confirmation.
