handitoff
Move files between devices directly from your browser
handitoff lets you move files between devices through temporary browser sessions. Open it on one device, scan or share the code with another, and transfer files without installing an app or uploading to a cloud drive.
I built handitoff because moving files between devices is still weirdly annoying.
The flow is simple:
open handitoff on one device
scan or share the code with another
send the files
No install. No account required for guests.
The current version supports temporary browser sessions, QR/code pairing, accounts, saved devices, and session management.
I’d love feedback on:
* whether the flow is clear
* how it behaves across browsers/devices
* larger file transfers
* what would make it useful enough to keep using
