What inspired me to build this?
I built HabitWin out of a deeply personal need. Like many, I struggled with addictions to various bad habits. I tried countless habit trackers, but I found that merely counting days completely fails when you are hit with an intense, overwhelming urge. I wanted to create something that actually rescues you in those critical moments, to help myself and to help others fighting the same silent battles.
βWhat problem was I trying to solve?
Overcoming a habit is a physiological battle as much as a psychological one. When an urge hits, your nervous system is in overdrive. I realized we didn't need another calendar; we needed an emergency toolkit. Thatβs why HabitWin focuses on the "3-minute window" of vulnerability, offering an immediate AI Therapist for behavioral coaching and a scientific 4-7-8 breathing tool to calm the nervous system.
βHow did my process evolve?
The most exciting part of this journey is that I am not a traditional software engineer. Coming from an academic background in nursing and health sciences, I understood the biological mechanics of cravings but didn't know how to code. I built this entire platform by leveraging and orchestrating advanced AI development tools. It evolved from a personal concept into a fully functional web app because I was able to translate my medical and psychological understanding directly into code using AI.
