Habit Dungeon

RPG gamification that helps good habits stick

Unlike habit trackers that stop at checkboxes, Habit Dungeon turns each completed habit into instant, meaningful progress—XP, gear, stronger stats, and another chance to beat a boss. That immediate feedback makes boring routines feel rewarding now, helping users stay consistent long enough to reach real goals. The RPG stays lightweight and focused, using only gear, stats, and bosses at its core, while crits, combos, stuns, dodges, and lifesteal add depth over time.

Hey Guys! 👋 I built Habit Dungeon because I kept running into the same problem: I knew which habits would improve my life, but their rewards always felt too far away. Reading, working out, or finishing a thesis can change your life—but on an ordinary day, checking a box rarely feels rewarding enough to make you come back tomorrow. So I started with one idea: every completed habit should create instant, visible progress. In Habit Dungeon, your real-world actions earn XP, gold, gear, stat points, and new chances to defeat bosses. The goal is to make consistency feel rewarding now, not only months later. The hardest part was balancing fun with focus. I didn’t want to build a full game that distracts you from your goals, or another habit tracker that simply adds points and badges. The core stays lightweight: complete habits, improve your equipment and stats, then challenge bosses. But combat offers plenty of depth through crits, combos, stuns, dodges, and lifesteal—plus hundreds of gear pieces across 12 equipment slots and dozens of items that can be mixed and matched. It stays interesting without turning habit tracking into another time-consuming game. Habit Dungeon also includes endless dungeons, cooperative Greater Rifts, custom real-life rewards, and leaderboards. But every system follows one rule: The game should support your habits, not replace them. I’d especially appreciate feedback on whether the RPG feels motivating without becoming distracting—and which part of the progression makes you most want to come back tomorrow. Thanks for checking it out!
