I kept abandoning habit trackers after one missed day broke the streak. The streak was supposed to motivate me, but it made an ordinary bad day feel like a verdict. So I built Habit Arc around a different rule: never miss twice.
One miss does not erase your progress. The app points you toward the next repetition and shows recovery as part of growth. You can also create two distinct kinds of habits:
