I run a few big WhatsApp groups, and I kept wanting a simple list of the members — names and numbers in a spreadsheet — and there was just no clean way to get one. The tools I found either showed me the first few contacts and hid the rest behind a paywall, or missed half the group without telling me.
So I built my own. Open WhatsApp Web, pick a group, click extract, and you get a clean CSV in one click. Works even on big groups with hundreds of members.
One thing I wanted to be honest about: a lot of these tools quietly miss people. I tested mine on a 679-member group and the popular ones only pulled 500 — a quarter of the group just gone, no warning. Mine gets everyone.
I also looked into why some exports come back with blank numbers, since nobody explains it. Turns out those are always WhatsApp Community sub-groups, where the numbers are hidden by WhatsApp itself — so no tool can get them. I'd rather say that than pretend.
It's had about 200 users in its first week, so I'm now thinking about a pro version for heavier use — the core stays free either way. It all runs locally, nothing leaves your browser. Happy to answer anything!
