Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Grapsy Light because every shopping-list app I tried wanted something from me first — an account, my location, or my attention via ads — before it would let me write down that I need milk.
The recipe-photo feature started as a personal itch: I was tired of retyping ingredients from cookbooks. Turns out on-device OCR is good enough now that the photo never has to leave the phone at all.
Happy to answer anything about the privacy architecture, the on-device recognition, or why I deliberately didn't build list-sharing between users (short version: it would have meant your data leaving your device, which is the one thing I wasn't willing to trade away).
