Gradient Descent

Free AI newsletter that writes itself every morning

A 3-minute intelligence briefing at the intersection of AI, finance, sports science, and research. Signal, not noise.

Top comment

Hey PH 👋 I'm Pierluigi. I built this because I was spending 40 minutes every morning reading 5 different newsletters to stay current on AI, finance, and sports science. So I automated the whole thing. The pipeline: → GitHub Actions cron (3:55 AM UTC) → 70+ RSS feeds fetched concurrently, scored by keyword relevance → One Groq API call (llama-3.3-70b) writes the brief and summaries → Delivered to Gmail + GitHub Pages + Telegram + Twitter + LinkedIn simultaneously Total cost: $0/month. Runtime: ~15 seconds. No servers to manage. The full pipeline is open source — if you want to run your own version for a different topic area (crypto, biotech, whatever), it's a one-afternoon fork. Happy to walk anyone through the architecture or the prompt engineering in the comments.

Who hunted Gradient Descent?

Gradient Descent was hunted by Pierluigi De Rogatis. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
