GPX Profile
Race-style elevation profiles from any GPX
Race-style elevation profiles from any GPX: free, private, and scriptable. Drop a file, aid stations appear from your waypoints, and you get a clean ridgeline graphic for posters, bibs and race pages. No account, no attribution, and your file never leaves your browser. Organizers can generate profiles automatically with one API call.
And I built GPX Profile. I'm a trail runner, and every time I wanted a nice elevation profile for a race, I ended up redrawing it by hand in Illustrator. So I built the tool I wanted. You drop in a GPX file and get a clean, race-style elevation profile you can actually use.
- A distinctive look. Stacked ridgeline lines instead of the usual filled chart. Pick one color and the shading follows. - Made for races. Waypoints in your GPX become aid stations automatically, with start and finish flags. Every label can be edited. - Private. Your file is processed in your browser and never uploaded. - Free, no account. Use the image wherever you like. - An API for developers and organizers. `POST /api/profile` with a GPX file and you get an SVG back, so you can generate profiles for every race page automatically. Exports come as SVG or PNG at any size, with a transparent background option.
I'd love your feedback! Thanks for checking it out! 🙏

GPX Profile was hunted by Guillaume Maurin. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community. Hey I'm Guillaume, 👋
