We're driven to make fitness an adventure and to get people outdoors. But Goodhunt is more than a lone wolf tracker app. We want to make it an opportunity to bring together users—or as call them (coincidentally), Hunters.
What we're envisioning for this platform is a way for Hunters of any fitness level to explore the great outdoors. Development is currently focused on bringing the social and location-based features to life. These updates will allow Hunters to join a community that is eager to get outside and find the coolest spots around town.
The idea works like this: Go for a run and collect resources such as feathers to repair your shoes. Meet a new friend also looking for more resources. Trade with them to swap medal fragments you're both looking for. Then later bump into them while you're both getting XP for getting a smoothie at a local juice bar, meeting other Hunters who are doing the same.
For users: Hunters are motivated to get outside and break their usual routine. They want the freshest threads for the avatar or are searching for the best gear to improve future Hunts. They may also be interested in exploring their city and want to build their social circle to include others with similar fitness goals.
For businesses: Businesses can sign up to become a location on Goodhunt. This is a way for the business community to tap into a new market of prospective customers. By doing so, they can literally be put on the map.
For marketers: Goodhunt offers the opportunity for brands to reach fitness-focused users who also want to have fun. Everything from health food shops to music venues, bars, and the hottest meetup spots in town can get in front.
