Hi everybody, today I'm launching a public beta for an app I've spent the last year working on: Godspeed.
Godspeed is a todo manager built with two priorities in mind: speed and 100% keyboard orientation. My goal with Godspeed was to make every single action doable with just your keyboard, and to have those actions respond instantly. Like Superhuman for your todo list.
(I'm so serious about keyboard accessibility that I built "hardcore mode", an option that completely disables the mouse to help break the habit of reaching for it.)
One of my favorite features in Godspeed, and a good example of how keyboard oriented it is, is the date picker for setting due dates. The date picker uses flexible, natural language. It's a lot like Superhuman's snooze picker, but with a ton more options. For example, I often find myself setting due dates like "3h" (3 hours from now), "eod" (end of day), or "mon 3" (monday at 3pm).
Another feature I like quite a bit (that you'll also find in Superhuman!) is hitting ⌘O to have Godspeed show you all the links you've entered in the title or notes of a todo item. This makes opening or copying links super quick.
I built Godspeed for myself and have been using it daily for about six months now. Before that I used org-mode in Emacs (hence the keyboard obsession) and OmniFocus. I loved how keyboard oriented org-mode was, but it didn't play well with non-text-based things like attachments. And it was slow. OmniFocus had much better native and cross-platform support, but had poor hotkey support. And it was slow.
So Godspeed is my answer to the weak points of both.
A few of my friends have started using it in the past couple months and their feedback has been incredibly valuable. So I've decided to open up access to more folks for a public beta. Access is free during the beta, but if all goes well I do eventually intend to offer subscription and one-time purchase options. And I'll have discounts available for beta users!
Thanks for checking it out, I'd appreciate any feedback you have!

Who hunted Godspeed?
Godspeed was hunted by Daniel de Haas. A “hunter” on Product Hunt is the community member who submits a product to the platform — uploading the images, the link, and tagging the makers behind it. Hunters typically write the first comment explaining why a product is worth attention, and their followers are notified the moment they post. Around 79% of featured launches on Product Hunt are self-hunted by their makers, but a well-known hunter still acts as a signal of quality to the rest of the community.
