Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Carlos, and I build websites and systems for news outlets, town councils and small companies from Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands. One request kept coming back: "we want to ask our people something and find out what they think". It sounds simple. It isn't. Almost everyone ends up in one of three places: the quick poll where the same person votes ten times from a private window, the long form nobody completes, or the professional tool that charges per response. In all three the result has the same flaw: you can't trust it. So we built GloboPoll around a short list of decisions, taken before the first line of code: One vote per person, enforced in the database. Not a check on the screen a script can skip: a unique constraint in Postgres. Without an account we count by address and a technical fingerprint of the browser; with an account, by person. Two votes at the same time? Only one gets in. No tracking cookies. No pixels, no ads, no data sold. Our usage stats group people by a daily hash that can't be reversed. Six languages from day one: Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Portuguese, each with its own domain. Every poll is written in one language and shown to whoever browses in it. Nine ballot types. Single choice, multiple choice, yes / no / abstain, rating (stars, scale, NPS), ranking with Borda, instant runoff or Condorcet, point allocation (quadratic too), pairwise comparison (Elo, Copeland), knockout brackets and questionnaires with several questions per poll. The count is explained step by step on every results page. A widget that always leads back. Embed a poll on any site; it shows only the count and links to the full results. A town council here just ran its carnival vote with it. There is also a WordPress plugin: it has been submitted to the WordPress.org directory and is waiting for review, so it isn't listed there yet. Until it is, you can install it from the public repository: https://gitlab.com/cibernatural/... You decide where a poll can be seen. Listed: in the public catalogue and in search engines. Unlisted: only people with the link find it, and search engines are told not to index it. Only on my site: no public page at all, it can only be answered inside the widget on the sites you authorise (handy for a council or a newsroom that wants the vote on its own page). This decides where it shows, not who votes: that's the voting mode (open, with an account, an email domain or single-use invitations). Results live, with the count and the date on every page, so a figure quoted elsewhere can be checked. What's free: creating polls, voting, the widget on your site, results live, moderation by a human, six languages. No card. What's Pro ($19/month or $190/year): no limit on active polls, the advanced ballots (ranking, points, pairwise, brackets, questionnaires), polls outside the public catalogue, invitation-only votes, the results API, webhooks and team roles. Try it without signing up: type a question on the home page and you get a poll that lives for seven days. Or vote in this one and watch the result move: https://www.globopoll.com/en/pol... Every type, with an example of when to use it and how it is counted: https://www.globopoll.com/en/blo... The longer story of why we built it is on the blog: https://www.globopoll.com/en/blo... A question for you: what's the one poll you've stopped running because you couldn't trust the result? I'll read and answer every comment today.
