Hi Product Hunt! I’m Greg, founder of GlobeDirect. I built GlobeDirect because international flight planning still feels more repetitive than it should. Most flight tools are powerful once you already know your exact route and dates. But before that, travelers often need to answer broader questions: Should I fly from my local airport? Should I start from a major hub? Which airports have nonstop routes? Is there a better destination airport nearby? Which date/s has better fare options? Which route is actually worth searching before I book? GlobeDirect is built for that discovery step. You can search broadly by airport, city, country, or region, choose a travel month, compare international fare estimates from major hubs, explore nonstop route possibilities, and use advanced options to plan from your local airport. For example, instead of only searching SFO → Munich on a specific date, you can compare broader options like United States → Germany for a month, see which hubs serve which destinations nonstop, and spot when nearby airports may create a much better trip option. I don’t think of GlobeDirect as a replacement for Google Flights, Skyscanner, or airline booking sites. I think of it as the step before those tools: a way to understand your best international options before you book. This is the first public version, and it’s just the start. I’m continuing to improve route discovery, local-airport planning, fare comparison, and broader search tools based on how travelers actually use the product.
